Diving in Eilat

 

Most of the divers that get to Eilat to dive look for a variety of spots to dive.

A lot of divers don't notice the most special and beautiful spots when they lay underneath their noses.

So here are 5 diving spots in Israel's Red Beach of Eilat,

 

1. Dolphin Reef

This diving site is one of the unique ones in the world, and considered as an ecological site.

In a magnificent beach you can meet a school of Dolphins, which run a life routine in its natural inhabitant, with hunting, playing and social life.

The Dolphins are free to choose whether to be with the divers or continue with their life routine around the reef.

The fact that the Dolphins choose to be among human beings reflects the true nature of the bond between us.

The reef diving experience is quite unique since its nature of keep the depth of the relation between us and the Dolphins, which make is unforgettable.

 

2. The Eel Garden

This is one of the sites that require watching and listening when you discover a great magical world underneath the water surface.

This memorable experience won't happen to those who won't stop and pay attention to the place.

The Eel Garden is a name that has been given to this diving spot, since you can notice a unique phenomenon happening in its area: a major forest of eels decorates the bottom of it.

The eels are standing striate, against the stream without moving; therefore they can use the oxygen and nutrition in the water.

 

3. Paradise

This is one of the more interesting diving sites in Eilat, which in continuation to it there is another diving site, The Satil (a shortage in Hebrew for a rocket ship).

At the Satil site there is this drowned ship, which is the center of this diving spot.

It is an attraction for the divers but few meters next to it there is a lost paradise which makes this spot one of the special ones.

The paradise area spreads over a wide area, in about 23 meters depth below water surface.

 

4. Coral Island

In an hour sail from Eilat there is a great spot that worth getting there.

The Coral Island is a reef located between Taba and Furd, in 300 meters distance from the beach.

It is a reef filled with corals, which gets you to meet different kinds of open water ,fish such as Barracudas.

The water colors reflect in shades of blue and green while diving along the reef.

No doubt that the hidden features of this diving spots give you one of the best dives ever.

 

5. The University

This site name has been given due to its location along the beach of the interuniversity institute in Eilat.

This institute is connected to the Hebrew university of Jerusalem and mainly working on different researches on the Red Sea.

The underwater view in this spot is one of the beautiful, which includes corals inhabitants that worth seeing.
